Hello, my feminist friends!
I’m putting this post up a little late for December, but I was inspired by a secret Santa gift exchange I did with some of my fellow style guru’s over at @cfashionista, and I thought I would share!
One of my style guru babes is a feminist and I got her as my person to gift to. I found an adorable feminist gift on amazon and ended up buying one for myself. Thus, this blog post idea was born.
Here are some cute af Christmas (or any time of year) gifts for your feminist friends:
1. A Little Box of Feminist Flair
This is what I bought for Natalie and myself! It comes with feminist patches, and buttons of all of your faves, as well as cute magnets to boot! I was obsessed with this, and it was under $10! I created a feminist jean jacket out of it, and put the magnets up on my fridge. It also comes with a book that tells you a little more about the powerful women behind the pins and magnets.
You can grab the box here.
2. Nevertheless She Persisted enamel pin
I am obsessed with this pin! Besides the fact that it fits in with my rose branding, I can never have too many things that say “Nevertheless she persisted” on them! This little pin will be perfect for any look– and it’s also less than $10!
You can snag it here.
3. Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay
THIS collection of essays by Roxane Gay looks at politics, criticism, and feminism. I highly recommend this (and another book may appear on this list.) Part of being a feminist is being open to education and new perspectives– give Gay a chance, because it will open your mind and fill you will some fierce feminist-inspo!
Grab the book here.
4. Feminist Activity Book
While this isn’t a book for reading, it is a fun way to craft and smash the patriarchy at the same time! Snag this little cutie for something fun and feminist to do on a rainy day, or whenever you’re feeling inspired.
You can get this here.
5. Men Explain Things To Me by Rebecca Solnit
THIS BOOK IS SO IMPORTANT. In her essay, Solnit looks at what goes wrong in every day conversations between men and women, and WHY these problems are significant. All I can say is that you HAVE to read this essay. It’s intense, but truthful in the most powerful way.
You can grab a copy here.
6. Face Masks & Other Relaxing Stuff
Now, hear me out. Self-care and the treat yo’ self mentality is also a vital part of feminism. Taking care of yourself and give yourself time to relax. One of my favorite ways to do this is by putting on a face mask before bed and getting in my meditation zone.
7. Feminist Mug
Feminist Mug! That should be all I have to say! Honestly, you can find so many cute mugs on Amazon, but I love this little cutie because it has some of the best feminists on it for inspo while you drink you’re morning coffee (or tea, I suppose.)
I’m obsessed with these items, and I hope you love them as much as I do!
